The Texas Real Estate Commission met on November 6, 2023, it was a Monday. Among other business they proposed a new form: NOTICE TO PURCHASER OF SPECIAL TAXING OR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT. This form is for sellers to disclose that their home is located in a water district. THIS FORM DOES NOT REPLACE THE NOTICE TO PURCHASER OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN A WATER DISTRICT that, according to Texas statute passed earlier this year, is to be posted on the Water Districts website. This new form is to be used in the event the district does NOT have the notice posted on their website. LET ME CLEAR the seller and/or seller’s real estate agent still need to contact the water district to get the information to fill out this form.

Now put in your comments and don’t hold back the Texas Real Estate Commission is bound by law to read ALL of the comments in order to properly protect the public.
